Nick DeMartino (who for 20 years served as The American Film Institute's media & technology maven) has written a comprehensive post for The Wrap about the Oct. 31 - Nov. 2, 2011 Storyworld Conference. I was fortunate enough to attend that inaugural Storyworld in San Francisco - and to spend some time with Nick there.
In his Nov. 20th, 2011 post, Nick DeMartino summarizes most of the big ideas that were discussed at the three day conference - while conveying the challenges and the excitement of standing at the brink of a new age of filmmaking and storytelling. In other words, Nick captures the thrill of being present at the birth of a revolution - but he also writes knowingly about the hard work that lies ahead.
