I've known Jacob Ribicoff since he was a kid. (I encouraged him as he was starting out in sound mixing.) Now, as fate would have it, many years later, Jacob has worked with the complicated, "wise and generous " director/screenwriter Kenneth Lonergan on Kenny's "nonlinear masterpiece", Manchester By the Sea. (25 years ago, I was one of the producers of an early play of Kenny's, which flopped through no fault of Kenny's.) So thrilled for the richly-deserved attention both men are getting. And so grateful for this video and Jacob's insights into what it means to ply the craft of post-production motion picture sound.
