Samsung Galaxy K Zoom - Cameras on Smartphones Keep Getting More Powerful

If you've still lugging around a point-and-shoot camera, because your smartphone isn't quite good enough for your spur of the moment photo and video needs, this new device may change your mind and lighten your load.

The Samsung Galaxy K Zoom comes with a retractable 10x zoom lens with optical image stabilization and a 20.7-megapixel sensor. But it's also an Android 4.4 smartphone.

Filmmakers will like that this device shoots 1080p video (up to 60 frames per second).

No word on when (if?) the Galaxy K Zoom will be available in the US. It seems that Singaporeans will be the first to get their hands on this phone - which now joins the Nokia Lumia 1020 as a device that photographers might want as a phone.
