How To Make Stop Motion
Great short (8 minute) video from PBS Off Book about the history and techniques of stop motion animation. The handmade stop motion artform dates back to the earliest films (check out this example by Georges Méliès from 1905 that combines stop motion and live actors). Stop motion animation has recently seen a revival thanks to user generated content on Vine.
The PBS Off Book episode features:
Dean Kalman Lennert, Animator, Teacher at NYU
Hayley Morris, Animator
Mathew Amonson & Jeremy Bronson, Studio Nos
Meagan Cignoli, Vine Animator
Thanks to Sheri Candler for the link.
