Teacher Becomes Frustrated With Bureaucrats and Standardized Testing and Quits In a YouTube Video


Stephen Round, a second-grade teacher in Providence, R.I., made his resignation via a YouTube video that has received almost 400,000 views since Dec. 12th, 2012: "Rather than creating lifelong learners, our new goal is to create good test takers. Rather than being the recipients of a rewarding and enjoyable educational experience, our students are now relegated to experiencing a confining and demeaning education."
