More On YouTube Multi-Channel Networks: What Filmmakers Need to Know About Working With An MCN (Tips From Big Frame)

If (like me) you're hoping that YouTube channels will serve as a spawning ground for a newly democratized type of entertainment and information - paying filmmakers as they build out and explore a new type of entertainment business - then you're already aware of the MCN's that have emerged to help filmmakers. (If not, here's a link or two.)

In a Dec. 12th, 2012 blogpost one of these MCNs - Big Frame - offered advice to filmmakers thinking about signing a deal with an MCN. Here's a short excerpt:

"If MCNs are going to reach their full potential, we should be creating a better experience for the channel end users and for the advertisers who are turning YouTube into a place to make a living."
