Hacking the Curriculum: David Preston + High School Students Curate, Network, Microfinance and Unleash the Power of the Crowd to Research

High school teacher, Dr. David Preston, is a pioneer in using online tools for education. For example, one of his classes collaboratively produced a mindmap of an interview that author William Gibson gave to The Paris Review. Another high school class channeled their social consciousness into a microfinance project. And his students have also used the power of the crowd (flash mob) to accelerate a research project and they've networked with experts all over the world to get first hand information about subjects of interest.
