In August of 2011 legendary producer Ted Hope gathered a (comprehensive?) list of distribution services available for indie filmmakers.
Ted Hope has recently suggested that his 2011 list may need updating.
In the New World of digital distribution, old models (like DVDs sales) are collapsing and new business models are being tried and abandoned at a dizzying pace. It's a time of great disruption - full of promise and disappointment.
Last year's new-new-thing might already be this year's has-been or never-was.
Nevertheless, Ted Hope's 2011 list is a great place for indie filmmakers to start.
