Can Hollywood Learn Transmedia Storytelling? Mass Effect 3 v. Prometheus: The 2 Sides of Fan Engagement



An April 2nd, 2012 article in Forbes illustrates how badly Hollywood can bungle storytelling in the New World of fan engagement (fans protested when key characters were killed off in the game Mass Effect 3) and how fan engagement with characters and story can be leveraged to great effect (the TedTalk starring Guy Pearce - which is a part of the campaign for Prometheus, a prequel to the 1979 sci-fi classic Alien).
