In this Spring 2012 interview, Ambrose Heron of Film Detail asked noted film critic and historian David Thomson about many things; including the state of film criticism, the classic films of the 1970s, the emotional impact of the projected image, what films has Mr. Thomson changed his mind about, the problems that Martin Scorsese has in depicting believable women, and the place of Orson Welles's Citizen Kane and P. T. Anderson's There Will Be Blood in the film pantheon.
