According to an April 19th, 2012 post in The Wrap, Cinedigm Digital Cinema (headed by Chris McGurk) has acquired home entertainment distributor New Video Group which licenses 4,000 films and 6,000 TV episodes.
In January 2012 the two companies had announced a joint venture intended to create a one-stop shop for indie filmmakers "overseeing everything from their theatrical debuts to their digital streaming pacts."
Look to the new Cinedigm to release "The Invisible War" and "Citadel" in June and September respectively. In April 2012 the joint venture announced acquisition of "In Our Nature," which premiered at SXSW and is currently playing the Sarasota Film Festival.
