Transmedia for Tots: Augmented Reality for Pre-Schoolers
With funding from the Canadian Media Fund's Experimental Stream, the CBC is launching an educational service online that uses interactive technology to engage kids in Augmented Reality.

In general, Augmented Reality means an environment that includes elements of the real world and the virtual world at the same time. The CBC experiment involves children interacting via webcam with a virtual world - manipulating objects onscreen to play games (and ultimately to bring to life abstract concepts and to enhance understanding).
